Coming Soon! Christine Valters Paintner

Coming Soon in January 2013!

Spirituality and Beauty

“Spiritual and aesthetic experiences are intimately linked. Both reveal the unutterable, the invisible, the transcendent. Spirituality is about this longing for God, for a connection to the mystery dimension of life, the ultimate that fills our world with meaning. We are called to awaken to beauty, to see more deeply, to cultivate practices of attentiveness. We are invited to let beauty penetrate the heart, and to respond to it by creating further beauty in our own lives.”

Eyes of the Heart: Becoming a Monk in the World and an Artist of Everyday Life

Christine Valters Paintner, PhD. She lives the contemplative and creative life in Vienna, Austria with her husband John and her dog Winter.

We live in a time when cultivating the contemplative and creative dimensions of life are more important than ever. In a world that demands speed, productivity, and quick answers, how do we witness to alternative ways of being? The archetype of the monk and artist, celebrated across spiritual traditions, offer us wisdom to bringing more stillness, aliveness, and compassion to the world. Christine Valters Paintner will support us in claiming our own monks and artists through reflections and creative practices. We will explore together the impact on the world of a life committed to creating space for new possibilities to emerge.
